Many people from the UK list Canada as one of the places they would love to go on holiday. Increasingly, people are even packing up and moving over there for good. Here are my top three places to visit in Canada, with a bit of information about what makes each one so popular. 1. Niagara Falls Niagara Falls consists of three separate, enormous waterfalls; the American Falls, the Horseshoe (or Canadian) Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. They are all situated on the Niagara River on the border between Canada and the USA. You can visit Niagara Falls from both Canada and the USA but for me, the Canadian side holds much more appeal for several reasons. The Horseshoe Falls is also known as the Canadian Falls because it is situated mainly on the Canadian side of the border. This is the largest and most majestic of all the falls. It is both higher and wider than the American falls and from the Canadian side of the border, you can soak up not only the sight and the sound, but also the atmosphere and spirit of the falls.
