"Tico Time" Rules the Day in Costa Rica
In Costa Rica 'Tico Time' rules the day. That means that the people here take their time, and can be a little late wherever they go. I traveled alone to this country to intern at an elementary school, Escuela Colina Azul and was nervous at what I would find once I got there. When I arrived, I decided to wait on the side of the road for my director to pick me up; it could be the perfect opportunity for me to get my first glimpse of Costa Rican culture.
