Winter capital of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu or Jammu-Tawi is the largest city of the state. The city has always been a dream destination for many in the country not only because it is a pilgrimage destination, but also as it is the northernmost state of India and nestled in the great Himalayan range. A city with a largely Hindu population, it is also known as the 'City of Temples' as there are many temples and shrines in the region.
