Ecotourism Spreads Around the World
Ecotourism brings together positively the needs of two disparate groups: those who want to see exotic and exciting locations and those that want to preserve said areas. Individuals who engage in ecotourism are usually very interested in preserving the ecosystems to which they travel. A percentage of their costs go to pay for park facilities, rangers, local employment. By providing jobs to the local population ecotourism reduces the attraction of "harvesting" such areas as a way of life.
